What we do

furniture, housewares, and wooden weapons

We work with our clients to create premium quality furnishings and goods that can be appreciated and used for years to come. From cutting boards and bowls, to coffee bars and premium desks, and even wooden swords and staves, we create hardwood goods that anyone can use and appreciate.

The process of making custom furniture starts with working with the client to create a sketch or 3d model of the piece to be commissioned. Next, we hand select the best hardwoods from a local, internationally known sawmill. Once the lumber has acclimated to the climate and humidity in the shop, it is then milled from the rough sawn surface that milling leaves. The lumber is then left to rest for a day before working it again- this mitigates warping due to differences in stresses and moisture levels in the freshly cut surfaces of the wood fibers. After this, the lumber is finally ready to be used.

Our exceptional Korean and Japanese style practice swords start with a length of straight grained, knot-free, locally harvested hickory lumber. Once the sword blank is cut, it is then shaped, sanded, and soaked in 100% pure tung oil for over 24 hours. For more information on what makes our swords stand apart, see our Martial Art Weapons page.
